In the Cascades of Washington and Oregon, we once again defeated attempts to eviscerate the Northwest Forest Plan and to sell off our remaining old growth forests.
In the Cascades of Washington and Oregon, we once again defeated attempts to eviscerate the Northwest Forest Plan and to sell off our remaining old growth forests. Specifically, we preserved the “survey and manage” standard of the Northwest Forest Plan, a key provision for ensuring that sound science continues to safeguard old-growth forests and native species in western Oregon, Washington, and northern California.
