WELC Tells EPA to Cut GHG Emissions from Non-Road Vehicle & Engines

WELC today called upon the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from non-road vehicles and engines, a large component of the mobile source sector with the fastest rate of increase in GHG emissions.

WELC has filed the petition on behalf the International Center for Technology Assessment, Center for Food Safety and Friends of the Earth.  States joining WELC in petitioning the EPA include California, Connecticut, Oregon, New Jersey, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

On January 29th at 11:30am, California Attorney General Brown and WELC attorney Dan Galpern will host a news conference announcing a petition to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requesting the agency to adopt greenhouse gas emissions standards for nonroad vehicles, engines and equipment.
