The Western Environmental Law Center is assisting a coalition of groups to protect and enhance Mexican wolf populations in the southwest.  WELC has filed Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the groups to gather information to ascertain why excess Mexican wolf deaths are being caused when captured, moved, and sometimes intentionally destroyed in response to complaints to government agencies by ranching interests.
