Trustees of the West Our major donor society, Trustees of the West, honors those donors who play a significant role in insuring that we can enforce and strengthen our nation’s environmental laws in the protection, restoration, and preservation of the West and its wildlands, wildlife, and communities. Membership is extended to donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually in unrestricted gifts to the Western Environmental Law Center. Benefits include regular updates on our work, invitations to special events, and a complimentary subscription to High Country News, the paper for people who care about the West.

Join our Keystone Partners Program Making regular contributions to the Western Environmental Law Center through monthly contributions allows us to save the costs of solicitation mailings and invites you to play a key role in protecting and conserving the West. You can make monthly gifts by credit card or electronic funds transfer.

2007 IRA Distributions Congress approved a tax break for charitable contributions from individual retirement accounts. Normally, money disbursed from your IRA is treated as income on your taxes. But in 2007, if you use an IRA distribution to make a charitable gift the funds can be excluded from your adjusted gross income and will not increase your taxes.
