| Executive Director Greg Costello (costelloatwesternlawdotorg) has been at the helm of the Western Environmental Law Center since 2002. With more than 20 years of experience as an environmental lawyer prosecuting cases that protect forests and endangered species in the Pacific Northwest he has represented clients in federal courts, state courts, administrative hearings and negotiations. Greg teaches the Environmental Law Clinic as a faculty member at the University of Oregon School of Law. He formerly served as the environmental community representative of the Washington State Forest Practices Appeals Board at the request of Governors Michael Edward Lowery and Gary Locke. Greg graduated the University of Colorado School of Law. He was a clerk for the Honorable Sherman G. Finesilver, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Greg works out of our Northwest Office. | |
| Attorney Megan Anderson (andersonatwesternlawdotorg) has worked with several environmental groups throughout the West, focusing on water, forest, and endangered species protection. Megan clerked for the Honorable Alex Martinez at the Colorado Supreme Court after earning her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Megan works out of our Southwest Office. |

Attorney Dave Bahr (bahratwesternlawdotorg) has been litigating
public lands and land use cases since 1990, with a special emphasis on gaining
greater public access to information held by state and federal
governments. Dave received the Sunshine Award in 2001 from the Society of
Professional Journalists and is also the recipient of the Kerry L. Rydberg
Award for accomplishment in public interest environmental litigation. He
is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law. Dave works out of our Northwest Office. |

| Northern Rockies Office Director
Matthew Bishop (bishopatwesternlawdotorg) has spent the last 10 years working to protect and preserve the West’s public lands, native species, and wild and scenic rivers. Matt’s work has included defending the reintroduction of the Mexican Wolf to the Southwest, Clean Water Act enforcement actions, and ensuring federal agency compliance with federal laws. Before joining WELC, Matt worked for the Montana Wilderness Association, the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide, and American Rivers. Matt is a 1998 graduate of Vermont Law School. Matt works out of our Northern Rocky Mountains Office. |

| Finance Officer Mary Cedarwolf (cedarwolfatwesternlawdotorg) joined
the Western Environmental Law Center in 2006. Mary has 24 years of experience in
Financial Management, including 10 years as a Tax & Accounting Manager of a
local Financial Investment firm. Mary is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS
and operates her own Tax & Accounting business out of her home. Mary
loves the outdoors and hikes and camps with her dogs, family and friends. Mary works out of our Northwest Office. |

Conservation Strategist Monique DiGiorgio (digiorgioatwesternlawdotorg) works to build relationships between WELC lawyers and the conservation community as well as local, state, and federal agencies. She also researches and develops key policies to protect the wildlands and wildlife of the West. Monique has worked for 14 years in conservation biology and ecology, most recently as the Executive Director and the Director of Development and Communications at the Southern Rockies Ecosystem Project (SREP). She serves on a working group of the Western Governors Association, teaches courses on wildlife crossings, transportation planning and funding, and serves on the La Plata County Wildlife Advisory Council. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Notre Dame. |

Attorney Ronni Flannery (flanneryatwesternlawdotorg) has has been practicing environmental law and advocating on behalf of the environment since graduating, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993. She has provided legal services and advocacy to public interest organizations on a wide range of issues, including public lands, endangered species, clean water, land use, and non-profit law. She has also served as legislative advocate for a statewide environmental organization in California. More recently, she has concentrated on the protection of private lands through conservation easements and other land conservation tools. |
| Attorney Peter M.K. Frost (frostatwesternlawdotorg) has represented conservationists in courts throughout the West for 16 years to preserve forests, wilderness areas, and wild and scenic rivers. Pete is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Oregon School of Law. From 1992 to 1999, he was an attorney with the Western regional office of the National Wildlife Federation. In 2000, he received the David Brower Lifetime Achievement Award for environmental litigation. Pete works out of our Northwest Office. | |
| Attorney Dan Galpern (galpernatwesternlawdotorg) joined the Western Environmental Law Center in 2006 after serving, consecutively, as a clerk for the Oregon Federal District Court and the Oregon Court of Appeals. He previously worked as a public interest legislative advocate and policy analyst, with an emphasis on programs serving low income working families, and as a senior consultant to the California State Assembly on labor and economic policy. Dan holds a B.A. (philosophy) from San Francisco State University and a J.D. (certificate in environmental and natural resources law) from the University of Oregon. Dan works out of our Northwest Office. | |

Administrative Coordinator Dina Gonzales (gonzalesatwesternlawdotorg) attended Northern
Arizona University
in Flagstaff, Arizona
where she received her Bachelor's degree with honors in Environmental Biology.
During her undergraduate studies, Dina was chosen as the recipient of several
academic scholarships, notably, as the first recipient of the Environmental
Fund for a Sustainable Future Scholarship. Dina works out of our Southwest Office. |

| Attorney Geoff Hickcox (hickcoxatwesternlawdotorg) has
been working in environmental law for 10 years, in partnership with Matt Kenna. Together they developed a successful private
practice representing local and national citizen groups under a wide variety of
environmental laws before joining the Western Environmental Law Center in 2005. Geoff is a graduate of the University
of Oregon School of Law. Geoff works out of our Southern Rocky Mountains Office. |

| Associate Director, Hillary Johnson (johnsonatwesternlawdotorg) joined the Western
Environmental Law
Center in 2006. She received
a J.D. and Certificate of Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University
of Oregon. While in law
school, Hillary co-chaired the UO law student environmental group and
participated in the 1992 United Nation Conference on Environment and
Development in Brazil.
Before joining the Western Environmental
Law Center,
Hillary worked on river conservation issues for Pacific Rivers Council and
prior to that as a senior consultant helping non-profit organizations develop
communication, outreach and web strategies. While not in the office, Hillary
enjoys playing in the great outdoors with her husband and two daughters. Hillary works out of our Northwest Office. |

| Donor Relations Assistant Marilyn Kemp (kempatwesternlawdotorg) has been working for the Western Environmental Law Center since March 1996. A native Californian, Marilyn’s career has focused on marketing and administrative positions at universities, major corporations, and the Forest Service. Marilyn is an avid outdoor enthusiast and passionate conservationist. Marilyn works out of our Northwest Office. | |
| Attorney Matt Kenna (kennaatwesternlawdotorg)
has represented citizen groups throughout the country in suits seeking to
implement environmental laws, with a special emphasis on protecting species and
their habitats from extinction by enforcement of the Endangered Species
Act. Matt earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon. Along with Geoff Hickcox, Matt received the 2003 Kerry L. Rydberg Award for
excellence in public interest environmental litigation. Matt works out of our Southern Rocky Mountains Office. |

| Director of Donor Relations Russa Kittredge (kittredgeatwesternlawdotorg) studied science education at Boston University and taught in South America before earning her J.D. with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oregon in 2001. Russa has served as an instructor at the University of Oregon, and more recently as Assistant Director of the Career Development Office at Tulane Law School where she focused on environmental and public interest program development and assisted students pursuing careers in public service. Russa works out of our Northwest office. | |
| Director of Foundation Relations Katie Laughlin (laughlinatwesternlawdotorg) began
working for the Western Environmental Law Center in May 2006. Born
and raised in New York City, Katie
ventured out to Eugene to attend
the University of Oregon,
where she graduated in 2000 with a double major in Political Science and
Spanish, and a minor in Latin American Politics. Before joining WELC,
Katie worked as the Development Associate for the Cascadia Wildlands Project
and more recently, as the Assistant Director of Development for The John G.
Shedd Institute for the Arts. Katie works out of our Northwest Office. |

Development Coordinator, Jackie Marlette (marletteatwesternlawdotorg) has wide ranging experience in conservation, outreach, and fundraising. She graduated summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in environmental science, emphasizing in ecosystem management. Jackie has worked with non-profit organizations focused on community collaboration, forest restoration, river conservation, outdoor education, and regional planning. Passionate about nature for as long as she can remember, she also enjoys gardening, swimming, and playing the fiddle. Jackie works out of our Northwest Office. |
| Attorney Sarah McMillan (mcmillanatwesternlawdotorg) has represented nonprofit organizations and individuals in environmental, land use, and constitutional litigation in administrative, state, and federal fora in both her private practice and previously at the Tuholske Law Office, a two-attorney firm in Missoula, MT. Sarah is a graduate of Williams College and received her law degree with honors from the University of Montana, Missoula, MT in 2000.

Southwest Office Director Erik Schlenker-Goodrich (eriksgatwesternlawdotorg) works to protect
wildlands, roadless areas and old-growth forests. Prior to joining the Western
Environmental Law
Center, Erik worked for The
Wilderness Society as an attorney and policy analyst, where he focused on
public lands issues. Erik earned his law degree and an Environmental and
Natural Resources Law Certificate from the University of Oregon School of Law. Erik works out of our Southwest Office. |

Litigation Assistant Marisela Taylor (tayloratwesternlawdotorg) came to the
organization in 1999 with an extensive and varied background in environmental
matters. She has a degree in Environmental Studies and Ecological Design
from Prescott College
and the University of Virginia
and has worked with or volunteered for an array of citizen groups whose focus
ranged from ancient forest advocacy, to ozone protection, to livable city
design. Marisela works out of our Northwest Office. |

| Attorney Charlie Tebbutt (tebbuttatwesternlawdotorg) has been among the most active citizen enforcement attorneys in the United States, having been involved in scores of enforcement actions against major polluters in more than fifteen states. He has practiced in five federal circuit courts of appeals and has worked with grassroots citizen enforcers to leverage innovative pollution prevention settlements in dozens of cases. Charlie received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. Charlie works out of our Northwest Office. |
