Corrie Yackulic, Board President, is an attorney with Schroeter, Goldmark, and Bender in Seattle, WA. From 1987 to 1990, she was an attorney with the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, where she worked principally on litigation to protect old-growth forest. She has taught environmental law at Antioch University and has a lifelong commitment to protecting the environment. Corrie is a 1985 graduate of Harvard Law School.
Lori Maddox, Board Vice President & Secretary/Treasurer, is the Associate Director of the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW), a network of public interest advocates working to protect natural resources and defend human rights in more than 60 countries, which she helped launch in 1991. She conceived and built ELAW U.S.’ Working Exchange Fellowship Program and directs the Latin America Program. Currently, Lori is leading an initiative to build public interest environmental law in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras in an effort to save the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which these countries share, and help them chart a more sustainable future.
Kevin Kirchner is Managing Partner at MacWilliams, Kirchner, Sanders & Partners in Washington, D.C. He is a seasoned policy and media strategist
with a reputation for creativity in developing
and implementing successful public education and media campaigns on a wide
range of environmental issues. Prior to
joining MKS&P, Kevin had been
Vice President for Policy, Legislation, and Communications at Earthjustice
(formerly Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund). He has also worked for the Agriculture and
Interior Committees in the U.S. House of Representatives. Kevin graduated from the
University of Oregon School of Law in 1981.
Mike Lindsay is a partner in the Denver office of Snell and Wilmer L.L.P., a Phoenix based law firm. Mike's practice is concentrated in complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contract disputes, real estate and construction matters, and employment claims. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Law (1985). He has substantial experience in traditional court and jury trial cases, as well as in the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration and mediation. He is a member of the Denver, Colorado and Washington Bar Associations, and a Chapter Editor and Author for The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Construction Law. Mike lives in Boulder Colorado.
Penelope Pierce is the US Regional Director for the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y). She is involved with major donor development as well as outreach to and coordination of Y2Y's many partner organizations in the United States and Canada. Penelope received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from the College of William and Mary. She received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1990. She was previously an attorney with Foster, Pepper and Shefelman in Seattle, the Director of Land Conservation for The Nature Conservancy's Wyoming Chapter, and the Major Gifts and Planned Giving Manager for the Seattle Art Museum. She was also involved in private rainforest conservation for over 10 years on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula before returning to Bozeman, MT in 2004 to work with Y2Y. She currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW).
Scott Reed is a general practice attorney, which includes environmental law, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Scott was a member of the Board of the National Audubon Society for 18 years, the Board of the Idaho Nature Conservancy for 10 years, and the Idaho Water Resource Board for 12 years.
